CLIFFORD'S TOWER - YORK

The bad thing about coming back to visit is that you don’t have your own transport and as kind as everyone may be with giving lifts, it doesn’t work as a solution and that is where we had to get reacquainted with the public transport system in order to hire a car. We were staying at Stuart’s in Snaith and managed to find a bus to get us into York (albeit very slowly, noisily and I must say rather more expensive than I remember) with our mission being to hire a decent car. Avis came through for us and we got a Peugeot 207 with the biggest sunroof ever which would be a nightmare if it actually was sunny as you would surely roast! It was great to see York again which is my favourite city, we even did the tourist thing and got a photo of Clifford’s Tower!
