The end of the party!

After over a year living here and being invited to other people’s parties and houses (very Australian but not something we Brits are used to), we thought we really ought to make an effort and do some entertaining. Initially we were going to have several little evenings for various circles of friends, but then thought we’d go for it and have one big party and invite everyone we knew!
It was quite stressful really, making sure the house was spotless, getting enough food, drink, plates etc. took some preparation, as well as sending out all the invites. Fortunately, Carol (our English friend) is a trained chef and offered to help me out with the food.
After all the preparation and the nerves during the day that no-one would turn up, the party was a resounding success!! I was still jumping around to Rage Against the Machine at 5am! The food went down very well, thanks to Carol’s help and the drink went down even better – especially the vodka jellies and some beautiful shots (haven’t a clue what was in them) made by our South African friends!
