October seemed to pass by in a whirl of afore-mentioned football matches and presentation evenings, most Thursdays and every weekend saw us trekking to Mackay for the beautiful game!
The only other event was a Cocktail and Quiz night I went to with the girls from the Community Health centre. It was a good night and I actually felt quite intelligent, particularly when no-one believed me when I said that Stephen King wrote the Shawshank Redemption. Fortunately I had a little ‘text’ assistance from Caroline back in England when it came to a few other questions that needed answering! Our team came second, and I got second prize in the raffle, so a good night was had by all.
